USS Midway Museum recently appeared on the Drew Schlosberg’s “Spotlight on the Community” podcast.

Sara Hanscom, Midway’s director of education, and David Koontz, the museum’s marketing director, promoted Midway’s visitor experience as well as the ship’s ever-evolving educational programs.

“The reason that USS Midway Museum leaders are frequent guests on my Spotlight on the Community podcasts is due to the ‘over-the-top’ content this San Diego icon and treasure provides our listeners,” said Drew. “Our Midway interviews are always compelling and offer the audience myriad opportunities to engage with the museum on impactful community-oriented initiatives.”

Spotlight on the Community amplifies the voices of local non-profits, social impact organizations and other community groups who help shape the culture in San Diego.

“It’s was an honor to share with Drew and his listening audience the exciting things we’re doing in Midway’s education department – especially our hot-off-the-press distance learning programs,” said Sara. “We want to make sure all students and teachers feel special and get to experience Midway Magic virtually or hopefully soon in person. Podcasts like Drew’s help us with this goal.”

Now in its 14th year, the podcast continues to champion organizations that help keep San Diego as America’s finest city.

“The Midway is an important part of the fabric of San Diego,” said Dave. “We greatly appreciate Drew giving us the chance to spread the word that the museum is once again welcoming guests on board to experience this Living Symbol of Freedom.”

“We are always honored to feature the Midway on our shows,” said Drew.
