Fifty active-duty service members proudly became America’s newest citizens during a stirring naturalization ceremony aboard the USS Midway Museum, taking the Oath of Allegiance as part of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS) annual nationwide Fourth of July citizenship celebration. Representing the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Army, these new citizens came from 20 countries spanning the globe, including Mexico, Ukraine, South Korea and the Philippines. For more than a decade, Midway has hosted this special ceremony, honoring the commitment of the men and women who chose to wear the uniform of the nation before officially becoming its citizens.
