The USS Midway Museum’s annual Haunted Hangar Deck Halloween Bash once again brought together all of San Diego’s ghost and goblin wannabes.

From tiny tots to great grandmothers, Midway’s hangar deck was oozing with more than 500 costume-clad revelers ranging from Ghostbusters and Star Wars characters to zombies and vampires.

The common merrymaking thread for all those on board was enjoying the spirit of the ghoulish holiday and sharing that fun with family and friends.

Here are some of the voices of Midway’s fright-night fanatics:

“This is my Halloween event with the kids,” said Mariah Rief, who along her daughter Malia, were outfitted as Rosie the Riveter. “We thought the marketing and social media about the event was really fun and clever, and it got our attention. It looked interesting and I must say my kids are having a great time.”
“This is our first time on Midway,” said Mica Myers, who was dressed as Olive Oil while her 6 month-old son, Roman, came as little Popeye. “We love the Goonies movie, so we thought it sounded really fun. It’s really cool, and there’s a lot of great costumes.”
“We started Googling Halloween events in San Diego and saw that Midway was having one,” said Colleen Calvan, who along with her friend, Becky Amezzua, were dressed as a pirate ship and scary mermaid. “We thought it would be perfect to come to Midway since we are a ship.”
